Pets

The pets are taking over,
So everyone be aware.
Right now a dog named Rover
Is sitting in my chair.

The cats are at the table,
It really is a sight.
Even the budgie, Mabel
Has come to join the fight.

The mice are in my bed,
I don't know what to do.
A turtle known as Ted
Is now living in my shoe.

Everything's in chaos,
I'm getting in a state.
I think I heard the rabbit say,
"I'm late, I'm late, I'm late."

With goldfish in the kitchen sink
This is as weird as it gets.
I really don't know what to think,
Except.....pets will be pets!
